Cassandra Prime LLC is led by Kevin M. Esvelt, who invented CRISPR gene drive, identified the extinction threat from mirror life, and articulated Wildfire and Stealth pandemics. He co-founded SecureDNA and SecureBio to mitigate catastrophic biorisks, leads AI red-teaming across frontier labs, and serves as Senior Technical Advisor to RAND. As of June 2026, he is on leave from his professorship at the MIT Media Lab in order to foster resilient AI, critical infrastructure, and supply chains.
